Did you know that gluing your thumb and forefinger together while tying foam hoppers is more painful than expected and is surprisingly difficult to separate?

Or, so I've been told... lizard

Yep! That's it, the internet... laugh

Did you know that deer hair trimming razor blades work pretty well for getting them back apart? I think I saw that on YouTube or somewhere...

If the fly is stuck in there, too, would that be considered fishing with live bait?

Bait??? Who me???

Well... I'm not proud. laugh

Actually, the glue dripped and caught the finger tips below the fly. So, the fly was safe. But, the fingers were wrapped around the vise at the time....

And if you've got some cheap wally world carb or brake cleaner laying around it's much easier Rex. wink Just a few squirts and it will go away. roflmao

I can not give a comparison as to effectiveness but any petroleum product is supposed to dissolve your super glue. WD-40 works but so does Baby Oil. Takes a little time but beats a razor blade or scalpel. This from LE training as at one time bad guys were gluing people's hands to kitchen counter or gluing eyelids

As a quick follow up, at last Tuesday's Dallas Fly Fishers fly tying class, I showed 6 people how to tie the pattern that originally generated this "hypothetical" posting.

Nobody, not even me, glued their fingers together!

Success!!!
