I'm looking for a good frog rod that'll fit me...I'm not tall (5'3") so a rod over 7' will be too long for me. Anyone have a good recommendation that'd fit?

My wife use's a Daiwa Tatula 7'4" frog rod so I do not understand your problem. She's 1" inch shorter than you.

I don't like slapping the water when I'm walking the frog...she may have a different technique than I do, but I tend to pop it downard. Plus, my boat's deck is about 3-4" below the side railing so I also tend to bang the rod against the rail when I walk it with a longer rod.

Falcon Bucoo

I feel like your best option is the "Cajun Baby" model. It's a 6'10" model that will pull as a double duty frog/pitching rod. These are super light and super sensitive, while still remaining very durable. For the price, you won't find a better rod. Not to mention Falcon rods always come with a good warranty.

I use the "Cajun Baby" and it's a great rod. If you check it out don't let the weight of the rod fool you into thinking it can't handle it. If you want a little better rod check out the Falcon Cara (Jason Christie) frog rod, it's 6'11".

Ive been really happy with the Power Tackle PG-104.5 AKA Frog Special
https://www1.powertackle.com/products/rods/frog-special/rods/frog-special/frgp04-5-7-6
We do have a new line of rods that just came out that we have been testing for a while
for frog I would recommend the 970 its a 7'7" Dbl XHvy/Mod.fast, 20-40#Flouro,30-65# Braid

Dobyns Champion 705 or a Powell Max 705. Easy to make a frog walk with either of these two rods.

+1 on the 5 power Dobyns - I have two of the Savvy Series 735s that do most of my froggin' - plenty of backbone and a great tip for casting and walking the frogs - and very durable - a great value. The 705 would be perfect

i have a falcon cara i bought for grass and heavy cover, i find I prefer a cheap BPS 7' medium heavy bionic blade for frogs. you can get them on sale for $50 from time to time, i liked it so much i bought another.
