Howdy folks,
I am a novice fly fisherman in South Texas, and looking for some good fly fishing spots that are wading friendly. With all the rain we have been having, a bunch of the rivers I would be trying (Guadalupe, Blanco, etc) are flowing to fast to fish right now, so I am trying to do some trip planning ahead of time. Half the reason I enjoy fly fishing is getting to spend time with mother nature, so much of my criteria for picking a fishing spot are based on natural aesthetics. Would love to hear about your favorite spots!
Thanks, Jemac

Glad to know Les. Tyler Fly Fishers is having an outing on San Gabriel 6/24-6/25. Any ideas on flies appreciated.

Hmm... RioGetters are a must, followed up by Briminators, and woolies. Not real hard- these fish are like mikey- they'll eat anything.

Do you mean South Central Texas? None of the listed rivers so far are really in South Texas (ie south of San Antonio).
Try Nueces or Frio

Nueces and Frio are awesome rivers to fish especially in the Southwest. The Sabinal is also a good one!
