Fished from 9 am until 1 pm...Launched in Orange and fished north of IH 10 around mouths of drains with current. The bass were biting very good as long as there was a current flow. Best lure was Zoom finesse worm(watermelon/red) on light line with small sinker. Several keeper fish in the 2 lb range(nice for the river).

I have been having good luck on the Calcasieu with a quater ounce black and blue jig and a blue sapphire trailer. One day I caught 10 and the next day 8. I also caught several hand sized bream on that jig. You are right about the current also. The largest I caught was 1.7 pounds and I was proud of him.

If I ain't fishing, I ain't happy.
But mostly I'm happy.
I love being retired, the check is in the mail.
