Not only...are they good to eat...imop they are one of the most gorgeous freshwater fish we can catch!

The little pumpkin seed size to 12" are very good. Better than sand bass IMO. Once they get big the meat is coarse and slimy when fried up. Big ones are fun to catch in swift running water. They can really put up a fight.

I love drum fried or baked. Any time I catch one while catfishing I consider a drum a bonus because they offer so much great white meat.
