I know this has probably been asked a hundred times on here, but, looking for a bay guide for July 22. Galveston, East, Trinity, wherever. Lived down there 10 years in the 80's but don't remember many of the guides or if they are still in business. I know I can "google" but would like some personal recommendations. Thanks in advance. Can use PM if preferred.

I've heard that that because of all of the fresh water being dumped into the bays, the only place with fish is East Bay, behind Bolivar Peninsula and it's wall to wall boats. I think I would wait a couple of weeks and see if the bays clear up.

Yes, I bet that is right. I'm not going until 3rd week of July. Hopefully it will be cleared up by then.

Any of the good guides know where they are catching fish right now. The fresh water has actually created some of the best fishing we've had in years. it's literally stacked the fish in some areas. If anyone is holding off on getting a guide because of this, I'd suggest rethinking that.
Here's a little list of some good ones. Steve Hillman Brent Juarez Bobby Lavender Jason Applebee Greg Francis - west bay Chad Wright - jetties
these guys know what to do and where to fish with these conditions. Also some really good fish mixed in on the reefs where the fish are holding.
