 Looking for a surf fishing buddy

So I'm heading to Corpus for the very first time this coming Friday but do not know where to go or have any connections there so just thought I would run some bait out. I need a break from Houston and will be pursuing employment while I am there but most of all just want to wet a hook and enjoy the sand, surf and new fishing buddies. I'm throwing a light action setup just for surf fun so I do not need any tackle unless there is a spare collecting dust.
