The full moon had things a little "off" this weekend, but once we figured out the bite wouldn't start til late morning things picked up substantially. Didn't get the terrific action for largemouth and cats this time, but did find a couple... Hope you enjoy the slideshow of a few fishies!

Hey HC what did you catch your fish on? Also how deep were they? Thanks.

Hehehehehhh... Chuck, did you notice all those lil' worms hangin' out of most of their mouths? We fished three different spots... one is a pier where we were dropping the worms to within a foot of the bottom right next to the structure. The second was along a bank that has about 20 feet of grass that must be waded in order to cast out 50 feet, or so, beyond. The bait was the same, but in this case, it was suspended about 3' under a bobber. The last one was worked using the bobber along the edge of a boat slip. All produced well.

The cats were caught in the second location with exactly the same technique as the sunnies. We also were broken off several times by what we suspect were either bowfin or gar.

The bass were very fond of three inch sunfish along the pier and boat slip...

ps... Brother in law almost got a rod yanked out of his hand by a real monster along the boatslip. Thing ripped line until it snapped. BIL just stood there in shock....

Saw the worms but was wondering if any artificial baits were used! Worms will defiantly catch those sunnies for sure. Thanks for the info. Always love wanting to know the patterns of fish in other parts of Texas!

Ahhh... you were wondering if I got a chance to try those lil' Raps. Yes, but there were just too many weeds. Couldn't reel in more than a few turns without getting hung up. Have to try them at Purtis, when we get there next time.
