All my rods that I use are Pro Anglers and whisker seeker but I was in Academy the other day and came across some Rippin Lips rods, I've heard of these rods and everything I've read has been positive and they appear to be a good quality rod that is affordable, has anyone used these rods that could give some input?

I bought 1 and got to try it out in the salt a couple of weeks ago. I liked it a lot. It reminds me of my ugly stick tiger rod only a little longer. Did great hauling in quite a few gaftop cats in heavy current off of the pier. Plenty of backbone and I like the eyes a lot. I'll get a few more soon.

How many eyelets on these rods?

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

I got the med/heavy 7'6" casting rod. It's got 8 eyelets not counting the tip.

Thanks for the reply, that is the kind of feedback I was looking for.
