I've started to use 17 pound much more for Tx rig, flippin jigs, and big worms more and more. I don't know what going to 20 would do as I don't have much nasty cover to flip where I live. The 17 holds up nicely and I haven't broke off. My line choice as of now is invizx. So far it's the best I've used but I was wondering about the shooter FC sniper line. I've used the regular FC sniper but I don't think it is as sensitive as the invizx. I don't want to go by what the pros say but I certainly want to get the best line for the money. 30 bucks a box is not fun at BPS. Here in Durham NC there is NOTHING around to battle with BPS unfortunately. Thanks guys.

Edit - I guess this was more of a question about shooter FC sniper and the quality of the line Not really a line size question.

17lb Seaguar AbrazX or 16lb Gamma Edge are the 2 best made in that size of fluorocarbon line, IMO

Tackle Warehouse destroys BPS's prices, free shipping on $50 orders.. might check them out

Stay with InvisX, you know that old saying, "if it ain't broke don't fix it".. It's right.

Disclaimer: I take zero liability if you spend WAY more $$$ than you were expecting to at TW. wink

Tight Lines!

Also, since InvisX is so supple and handles so well, there isn't much difference to me between the 20lb and 17lb if you want to step up in line size. Shooter is a "wee-tiny" bit more sensitive than the InvisX, but does not handle nearly as good as the InvisX in my Curado's. InvisX is my personal choice.

10-4. Yeah eBay has 17# and 20# for 85 bucks 1000 yard spools. If I go to BPS I basically force them to match academy prices lol. Even though the closes one is 2 hours away!

I use 10, 12, & 15 pound red label for cranks, spinner baits, and other moving baits. Easier to change often when it's 8 bucks at Walmart! Just naught a box of 20 pound to use. Gonna see how it holds up pitching a 3/8 tx rig.
