Well me and the son in law took a quick trip to Yellville, Ar to float the Buffalo River. The weather was hot as Hell, the fishing was very slow, the water level was perfect and the views were fantastic. Thought you might enjoy a few pictures.

Beautiful, never done the Buffalo but Crooked Creek is great for smallies . It's right there in Yellville.

We are planning on going first weekend in June this year. What lures worked for you?

Very cool pics. Reminds me a little of the Ouachita in Arkansas.

Caught our fish on a brown jig with crawfish trailer and a trout colored jerk bait in the smoother pools.

Man, just the way I remembered it. Did you see any of the elk? Last time I went we were charged by a Momma that just had her baby close to the bank.

What a beautiful place to kayak fish. Where is the Buffalo River located ?

Just the beauty of the scenery is off-the-charts. Catching fish would be sort of like an unexpected dividend.

We have a few stretches like this in Texas, some crystal clear rivers more to the south, then sections of larger rivers with great water, cliffs and views. These Arkansas rivers look so enticing. And, I saw Bill Dance's program floating down a great river catching 2 or 3 different sorts of trout!

Bucket list.

Brad
