So how often has it happened to you guys were a boater tries to turtle you? At first I thought the guy "accidently" came within 5 feet of me creating this big [censored] wake, but them when he did it 3 more times I knew he was being a dick. The issue started off with me being in his fishing spot in BFE fishing a corp pile on Ray Bob. My reaction was hey this is a public lake man and a corp pile you don't own anything! He started to cuss and I went on about my business, but wondered just how tall this guys horse was exactly. He left for like 5 mins then came back cussing up a storm to which I just laughed and kept minding my business. And that's when he started flying that boat around my kayak. Is this normal? Their for sure negligent and putting my life in all kinds of danger... Is there someplace to report this? Either way I caught a limit of crappie on his honey hole that day(Wednesday) and went back the next day and did the same (Thursday)! Second trip out in the kayak and already ran into the sea donkey's!

Take a picture of his boat numbers, call the game warden. Boaters are responsible for their wakes and any damages.

Take a picture, get the boat #,and call GW.Lake patrol or if it's bad enough call 911,that is harassment, big time illegal. Have had it happen to me more than once. I don't put up with their BS!

I have had them run in to me with their power boat to get the gps spot I was sitting on catching fish, they think of us as another nuisance to be dealt with in most cases. Some are decent people but keep your head on a swivel on a big lake and be prepared for a confrontation with some of them.

Call a GW. Or just deal with it at the boat ramp.

Photo and video what he's doing. Call the Game warden, lake patrol or police or all the above. Try and get his TX #'s.

There is actually a law that prohibits anyone from interfering with anyone in the legal pursuit of game in Texas while on publicly accessible water or land. A quick video/pic and phone call will get him some education. This law came about after animal activists kept jacking with hunters in their stands so no deer would come near. Some of the hunters were legislators :-)

I had a wake-boarder hit my outback while trying to spray me about 10 years ago and I parked on the ramp until he came in. I was going to explain things to him when an ambulance and cops pulled up the same time as he did. He had run over his own girlfriend with his prop. Karma is a B**** ! her forehead was split open.
About a year later I was in my yak fishing a crappie tourney in RR and a bass boat came by and asked if I was fishing the tourney and was I doing any good. He told me roughly where a few brush piles were lined up and even offered to take me to them. I declined and he just hung around for a while. Eventually he said, you don't remember me do you? Explained he was the drunk A-hole that had almost killed me a year earlier on Hubbard. He said he was really drunk and really sorry. I asked him how his girlfiend was and he just said " ex-girlfriend" and "scarred". I have seen him at least 10 times since then and we even had a few laughs about it (and other bad decisions people make when drinking).

Just pointing a camera at most Aholes will scare them. Tight lines, Phill

I have had folk not see me in my BRIGHT YELLOW kayak and have to turn hard to miss me. But never straight up harrass. I know it is not the right thing to do but it would be hard not to zing a 1oz slab at him.

Thanks for the info! No clue why they can't just share the water. I guess a 10k+ boat makes you feel entitled or something

This is it. If u dont want this to happen then fish private waters or fish water where there Is little to no boat traffic.
Most times you can simply paddle off. Some folks do love confrontation However and that makes thing difficult. ya never can b too sure why people do what they do.
They may not see u there, they could b drunk, on meds, high & going thru a terrible time, just mental
Or all the above smirk

We almost hit a powerboater who was pulling a skier once.
Alcohol was involved. Cops showed up it was word against word. Could have been a life changing moment Though. Do your best to be a peace maker and stay light hearted if at all possible. Wear your vest and rig your gear to float if its valuable. Wear bright colors, carry a big bright white cooler and use better judgement. Know your limits and stay away from jet skiers and crazys. Dont let them bring out the worst in u!

I lost a good friend who was run over by powerboater a yrs back :-( Turns out they were drunk & high just having fun trying to throw my friend with their wakes of his jetski when they ran him over. Cut him to shreds with their prop and he bled to death shortly after :-(
