First, for those of you who sent me private messages on locations, thank you soooooo much!

Two, it was an intense day. I started by fishing a few brush piles but got the big nada on that--again. I headed toward the dam.

When I got there, I saw an explosion of hybrids in almost every direction. It was stunning to see so many fish boiling on the top of the water. I figured they must be a lot of small fish. Wrong! I start casting and I am hammering 15 to 20 inch hybrids. Some are big enough, they are bending the hooks on my spook. They were so aggressive, you could just cast a spook out and not even move it and they were hitting a few seconds after hitting the water. Absolutely nuts. Where is a GoPro when you need one?

I run back to the condo and rip my girls out of bed. Get them dressed and back off to the dam area we go. We are right back to catching hybrids left and right. It was just so much fun! It slowed down and we departed the area at 11:00 am. Headed over to Starbucks on the lake so my girls could get a wake up latte. You just gotta love a lake where you can drive to Starbucks or McDs on the water.

The bass mission has been a major fail for me. The hybrids have made it all worth while fishing with my girls.

If only there was some grass in that lake, look out. One can dream.

I will be up there saturday, mainly juglining north of 1097. We might head towards the damn for some of the same action. I am new to fishing conroe as well, so still learning it as you are. I am in a Tahoe with black accents, if your there wave me down and maybe we can swap some info.

The girls looked like they had fun, that's what it's all about right there!
