Jay Greishaw has been smashing fish on Sugar and has been posting pics and blog posts every trip that have finally pushed me over the edge. He has put a client on a double digit on Sugar every month this year. Will be booking a trip as soon as the schedule (and the ladyfriend) allows... HighStakesBassin.com

Tommy put me on 2 9's and a 10.6 in three days 2 weeks ago, 9 and 10.6 came on the same day. He had a 10.3 that day as well to complete a 45 lb stringer!
They are all good guides, best lake on the planet!

How are the accommodations and food down in the Sugar area? Highly recommend going with a guide, some language barrier issues there with the staff.....as long as the air conditioning is working, food is great, and the shower is working you'll be fine! It's not a 5 star like many of the Mexico resorts have, but they aren't located on Sugar! If you wan't the thrill of catching them on 40 to 60,000 acres this is the place! They can make your fingers bleed with 2 lb fish there, or you can go after a 50 lb stringer which is what I'd of had if we could have boated the 3rd 10 for the day? They are mean and highly tempered fish with rocks and hardwoods to make you feel silly!!!!!
