I'm new to the tff and need some help finding fish? Don't know to much about the lake, any help would be nice

Crappie can be caught around the bridge pillings pretty much year round. Easiest place to start, on "new water".

Post your results and fishing report after you go. You will always be more likely to get help if you offer it to others on here first. I haven't been, but a couple coworkers caught 100 off of two big brush piles they have on that lake. I don't know the depth they were at though. Pepop has been hammering them pretty good on the bridge. There is a pretty good chance that you will see other boats at the bridge and I'm sure that one of them will tell you a depth if you don't have electronics. Crappie fisherman are pretty good people for the most part. Good luck!

The fishing is great on Palestine right now. As mentioned above all the bridges are holding fish. The best depth seems to be 13' for me. If you use your sonar and can find some brush piles in 20-25' and fish that same depth over the top you will get bit I promise. Hit PEPOP up for some of his Grape Limeaid or Blue Truse jigs and you'll be all set. Good luck!!

Yes the info the other guys have given is good. I was on Palestine all week last week. Brush in 18-25' of water held fish. The fish seemed to be at the top part or just above the brush to me. Grape limeade was the number one color for me but blue/chartruese did fairly well too. Dock shooting was hit and miss. On certain docks you could catch 2-6 fish but not many more than that it seemed. The bridge always has fish. It's a good place to go once you have fished brush, etc. and the sun has come out. It will feel 15 degrees cooler under there!

If you happen to head North, towards Flat Creek, from 11 till 4 or 5, when the bridge shadow is beyond the piling's, there are plenty of keeper fish holding around 12'. Most of that bridge is only 13-14 ft deep. Let out about 11-12 ft of line and pitch a Blue/Chartreuse jig out and let it swing back to vertical. A little "twitch" right near the end of the swing usually gets bit. Good luck and as mentioned, post any results for others to learn from.
