Yeah...you can guess it from the title, so if you dont want the details, quit reading now.

Retying a flipping stick, 1/2 tungsten, 5/0 Trokar Flippin Hook, wanted to add a punch skirt quick like, i like to tie a snell. Normally no issues, I usually hang my finger on the bend of that hook, wet it and pull it through. Well for some [censored] reason I just kinda held the hook between my fingers, wet the line, started to pull it tight and that hook slipped from between my fingers and buried justpast the barb, inside my upper lip....it didnt hurt initially. Of course adrenalin, the thought I was fishing alone, then obviously i couldnt see the hook. I felt with my finger the hook kinda skin hooked me but still had the barb below the skin. a couple tugs back toward the inside of my mouth didnt work so I decided to continue the path of the hook through the skin, said a couple quick prayers and YANK! Chunk of the inside of my mouth on the trokar it fell to the floor. I guess the heat, brief rush of adrenalin or maybe shock had my heart racing, felt light headed... haha tournament took off. I hung back iced down, drank a water, and got to fishing, less a chunk of my mouth.

THEM TROKARS ARE SHARP!

Ouch! I've done similar things in my haste. At least you can tell everyone the first one you stuck that morning was a 195 pounder (or whatever you weigh)

We all stumble and make mistakes. When you stumble, do you want your brother to help knock you down or to help set you back on your feet?
