Just got off the phone with a lady from Yellow Magic and can't say enough about their customer service. I purchased a Yellow Magic the other day, took it out of the box and the tail feathers on the back completely came untied/off. She is mailing me a couple of extra tail feather hooks, no questions asked. It's hard to find great customer service nowadays, even for little things like that and they will be getting my business again. Just wanted to express my appreciation for a great company to deal with.

So....let me get this right. You paid $17-$19 for a lure that falls apart upon opening the packaging....and they send you parts to FIX IT!!!! WTF?! They would have to send me a complete new lure. I'd be damned if I would pay that much, then have to call and get parts so I can fix their issue for them.

What they did for you was minimal , IMO. nothing to warrant praise.

Come on Steez. If you buy a car with a bad tire, do you expect a new car? Removing a hook and replacing with a new hook isn't too difficult and would be much better than having to send the original to them so they could send you a new one......

Sounds like got back more than what you started with and that's a "win" in my book!! They are "PRICY" but sometimes things happen and having a good customer service is a million times better than what we are all used too nowadays...

So let me get this straight. If SM orders a reel with a loose handle nut, the manufacturer should send a NEW reel. Come on, the YM can be made good as new by removing the hook and adding the new one. To the OP, enjoy your YM and catch a big one!!

Guess I should have complained about my Yellow Magic that lost its tail feathers out of the box. Not sure if this is a common problem but strange it happened right out of the box.

Yellow Magic has/had a great marketing scheme, It's a Jap. designed lure made in China. They were smart to put a high price tag on them back in the days. I have always enjoyed fishing with them
