I'm looking to buy a bait tank to put in my little 16.5ft boat. I was looking at a Keepalive tank or possibly a Kodak. The price point is just right for me (around $300). I don't need to keep them alive for days, just for about 6 hours or so. Does anybody have any knowledge or experience about this tank? I've also heard of a tank called bait jacuzzi but I haven't heard much about them. Thanks for any advice!

I have a grayline and it keeps shad alive for days. I know a lot of people that just use coolers with aerators.

I built one out of a 50 gallon plastic barrel. It has a filter I made out of PVC and scotch bright pads and keeps shad alive for days. I have a bait tank built into my boat but it has just enough corners for the shad to find them and die and that's why i built my own. I can't see how the cooler tanks work with those corners...

An appropriate size round or oval shaped cooler for your boat and a small 02 System sounds good. Stress on shad takes it toll.
How many shad will you put in this bait well? Add some Sea Salt in the water, that helps. Usually 1 cup to maybe 30 gallons of water. Temperature, circulation, filtration plays a part as well.
