Met Old Coach at Oak Cove and on the water at 6am. We were the only vehicle there. With the recent rain and the lake up another foot or so our expectations were not high. Decided to go straight to the dam and see if we could find them like we did last week. Rolled up to a point on the East side of the gates and the graph lit up top to bottom with feeding fish. I missed two, had two break off my ultralight with 6lb line before I actually got a fish in the boat. They were nice sized sandies and under hybrids. I have a screen shot but I missed the best screen pic because my phone camera was on video and not picture. We worked from the East side of the gates to the West side and continue to catch quite a few. This lasted for about and hour and we decided to look around on the North end of the East dam. On the way there I just happened to notice what look like schooling fish about 50yrds off the dam wall. There were three or four large schools of fish busting the surface all around us. Didn't seem to matter what direction you cast it was fish on. Top water, little george, fly, slab , spinner, all worked. We chased them for about an hour then the sun came out in force and they went down. Ended the day East of Pelican island in 30fow slabbin up some sandies. The day turned out a whole lot better than we thought it would. Just proves that if you don't go you don't know.

Cool! That sounds like the RC I know. The last couple of years were weird. Maybe it will be more normal this year.
