Quality of Trailer ? Unknown at this time, I just received a replacement trailer as my original one had a factory defect. It was handled promptly and I'm pleased with all involved.

Ask this on the BBC boards in the legend section. There's quite a few unhappy guys over there with their v20 purchase. There are some happy to so I guess it's a coin toss. I know they were having holeshot issues and problems with boats cracking pretty bad. The holeshot was an easy fix, they just needed more set back and a hole shot plate. I'm not sure if they have the cracking under control. They build one of the best looking boats out there and I've never heard anybody say they rode bad, always compliment the rough water ride. They aren't speed demons but the fishing platform is also probably the best out as far as width.

If your name is correct to the boat you currently own, keep the FX.

As mentioned before, the V 20 has had some issues. The holeshot issue was a big issue, I don't know if it is now though. There were also big problems with build quality. Problems with stringers and fiberglass cracks. Again, I'm not 100% sure if they've addressed these problems. Some of the older Legend's had a problem with the "knees" in the transom, but I don't think that was a problem with the Alpha's or V series of boats. I haven't seen anything posted where they've addressed these issues but maybe I have't looked hard enough.

Legend's are good boats. The Alpha's have an incredible ride. I've never ridden in a V 20/21 though. Legend's have the best features and overall looks if you ask me. I just think that they have some issues with quality control.

One thing I can say about Legend, THEY HAVE THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE INDUSTRY! I am running a 2010 Alpha 211. I have had very little issues with it for as much as I fish. The insert on the back rest of the passenger seat caught a tore in it. I called them, they sent me 2! One for the passenger seat and one for the driver seat. I asked them why, they said, well, the driver side might be faded a little bit so change them both so they match! Who else would have thought of that. The boat was only a year old at the time. They are amazing. I've heard lots of great stories. I've visited with people from the factory and the owner Mr Randy, he always recognizes you when you run into him somewhere. I always have a legend. My boat has been through some battles. But we always made it safely. I trust my boat 100%. And I have heard that the new models are even better!

I just picked mine up Monday and haven't been on the water yet. I can tell you the trailer appears to be much improved over my previous Illusion Series. It's channel rather than tube and the coating looks better. All components on the boat are the highest quality you'll find on any boat. Mine has the hole shot plate. They really have out done themselves with the design of this boat. The few minor things I might have changed on my 211 were improved. The newer 211's are awesome as well. The one thing I will have to see how I adjust to is the massive center storage (lid mainly). Just my opinion and don't mean to start a boat debate, but they are " the Cadillac" of boats.

The V20 and V21 Legends are awesome boats IMO... Rode in my buddies new V21 the other day and the deck and storage space is huge... It's ride is unbelievable and we were in 25+ mph winds... Took it like a champ... Also, the stability is better than my Alpha 211... It will be my next boat for sure

Hole shot plate covers the bottom of the jackplate.
