Anyone been lately? I want to get out but that lake fishes tough when the water is that murky....for me anyway.

Water is deep red. I wasn't fishing but saw tons of baitfish in every cove/slough. The water got better in the backs of the sloughs. They closed the gate Sunday so hopefully it will settle quickly. If it doesn't rain, it will be a month before its back to normal

It will be good come this weekend. Takes the lake about 3 days to gain decent visibility from the penisula point towards the dam

Take big black buzz bait and hit the flood brush along points close to river channel on the lower end.
I like PK when it is like this.

Wow. Never seen it that muddy. I bet there is dirt from Garza county in there! I've been waiting to use my new black buzz bait. Got it for night fishing but I'll use it here!
