To the guy from Athens who stayed next to me at the Bent Tree hotel for Bass Champs who forgot his rain suit.
Please send mine back to me at the address I provided you. It was a loan, not a gift. Hope being a nice guy doesn't bite me in the butt.

I loaned a neighbor $1500 to get a rent house because he was being evicted. We used to fish together 2-3 times a week. Since I loaned him the money to rent a house one street away, I haven't seen him since. Lol. Losers!!!

His partner was from Missouri, he said he was from Athens. That's all I know. Seemed like a descent guy in need of a rain suit.

Wow, not quite that much but I was stiffed by a partner for a couple of day trips and an entire 4-day tournament weekend. I did finally get his justification...
He lost his wallet and when it was returned in the mail the person who returned it claimed someone matching my description dropped it in my driveway. I offered to file a police report on his behalf, nope. He still "felt" I stole his wallet and money... He went on with other justifications for not paying his half: I didn't share water appropriately, I never listened to him, I wanted to fish deep when he knew the fish were shallow, I was overstating expenses, etc.
I even offered for him to pay what he thought was fair for the other trips, and split hotel and gas for the 4-day... Nope.
Good luck to the OP, I know there's good folks out there, hopefully it was just an oversight and he'll make it right for you!

Assuming this was champs at Tawokoni. Looking at the results, there was only one guy from Mo. that fished, but his partner was from Collinsville (north of Ray Roberts).
