How is the evening bite on Joe Pool? I've heard good things about the morning bite but was curious about the evening bite.

I got nothing in the morning.
I did catch a bunch from midday on in deeper water, they were grouped up in areas they go in early summer. I hate fishing shallow.
I wasn't there for the late bite but it has usually been good for me in the past.
Real trucks don't need spark plugs.

Yesterday I caught 10 in the morning. 3 unders and the rest were nice slot fish.
Went back in the evening after the storms, with a buddy, and we caught 12 little ones. And most of those we caught schooling with sand bass. Couldn't catch anything big.

I have had really good luck with the evening bite. Frog fishing all of the flooded stuff has been great. Make sure you have fresh line on. I lost 3 overs in one day.
