It seems like the majority of the times I have been to Ray Roberts I catch 4 fish under 10" for every 1 I catch that's over. Is everyone else having the same issue with Ray Roberts or is it just me? I usually keep 10-20 fish when I go if I'm willing to work all day and move around a lot. Just wondering if others are finding better quality fish, and if so any help in locating them would be appreciated? Right now I mainly have been fishing bridges and timber in 25' of water catching fish 10'-14' down. Don't get me wrong, catching smaller fish is more fun than not catching at all but I would rather target bigger fish. Thanks for any replies

May try some brush piles in 20-30 ft of water just on the top of the brush. Try different locations until you find bigger fish. A few years back it seemed like 10 unders for every one keeper. Been better this year for bigger fish on Ray Roberts and Lewisville both.

Still catch little ones as well. If it's a dink fest, move. Keep moving and target the more aggressive fish. Youre doing things right. Last week I caught most of My really big fish on a jig. This week seems like I can't get a big one to bite a straight jig. They want it tipped with a minnow. They change weekly. Fortunately I'm able To be out there everyday and stay on top of them. My mister fish have been coming out of

I think your results match those of most weekend warriors. Cody can consistently catch better fish, but he has a lot more time to figure out where and how to catch them. When fishing jigs, I've found that switching colors or jig size can often entice a keeper to bite once the pack of dinks starts biting.

Thanks for the replies. I normally fish Texoma and have gotten spoiled I guess. There almost every fish I catch is over (not the numbers though). Unfortunately our boat house was demolished by a storm and I'm waiting for them to get it rebuilt. I live 20 minutes from RayBob and 40 minutes from Texoma. Those two lakes, in my opinion are polar opposites in the way they fish. Thanks again.
