Anyone ever fished this area? Looks like there is a pump station on the west side on the river, I am very interested in trying this spot out, Don't see a lot of yakkers out there, looks like a gem...

There are 3 small lakes west of Bachman. The closest looks good and I went there once to see it but it is posted "No Watercraft". Something about turbulent water. Looking at Google Earth I guess the Trinity can flood in on one side and out the other.

Those types of signs are merely suggestions and not to be taken as hard fast rules.

Its called California Crossing. We used to fish it in the 70's before 342 was built. There weren't any roads to it.

It's basically an overflow pond off the trinity. Never done it myself but some friends have caught a few largemouth and some cats off the bank

I finally found some info, it's called fishing hole lake...
