Need some help please. I want to install a battery charger on the flat bottom boat. Need to charge max 2 - 12v batteries. One in front and one in the rear. Boat stays exposed to the weather. There is a console so the charger could mount underneath to keep direct rain away but it will still be in a exposed environment. suggestions? Thank you in advance.

I have a MinnKota 210 and it was exposed to the elements for 2-3 years before getting the boat under a covered shed. Had it for several years now with zero problems.

Make sure you read the directions in their entirety upon installation, some chargers have to be isolated from the aluminum boat (piece of rubber or wood between the 2 surfaces).

I assume it's a aluminum boat since it's flat bottom, if not then disregard.

Onboard chargers are fairly water resistant, mine is in the back of the boat and gets wet often, but not submerged, still works fine for over 6 years now.

My minn Kota has been submerged twice and still works fine. Shouldn't have a problem with what you are describing

What Length is the boat? The only problem I could see is the charge lead's lengths. Splitting to go to the front of the boat may be a problem without mod then you run into warranty issue. For what ur doing... Id just go with a dual charger by bass pro or cabelas.

Good luck
