Sorry am sure that this has been posted a million time but I spilled a whole bottle of chartreuse dye on my carpet this weekend, I know not real bright. What is the best way to remove this from the carpet? Thanks in advance.

Set the boat out in the sun.

They make a neutralizer...but time will take care of it. Just an excuse to fish more for a week or 2

One table spoon of Dawn dishwashing liquid, one table spoon of white vinegar, into 2 cups of warm water. Stir and blot the area well. Let sit for a few minutes then keep blotting it out. It will get most of it. I've done it before. It will completely disappear over time.

Let it sit out in the sun and it will fade, if you have no time, they do make a neutralizer.

I spilled about a half bottle on my carpet, the fiberglass and my shoe. Fishing in the sun faded the carpet and fiberglass can't even tell it was stained. My shoe is still stained. Maybe I should leave them in the sun.

They make a anedote formula to remove. As mentioned it will gradually fade out in the sun.

Get a few more bottles and dye the rest of the carpet! Have you seen some of the boat colors? You might start a chartreuse carpet fad! grin

See you on the lake and have a great day!

Alright, I waited hopefully, but I gotta ask the dumb rookie question. Why do you have a bottle of die in the boat?
