I make a trip down every year to see family and fish a bit. I had heard all the grass was gone due to the high water. While fishing we have been seeing lots of carp that look like they could be grass carp. I looked at the water fluctuations and it only came up a few feet. Generally milfoil can take a jump of more than that. Could carp be the reason the grass is gone? i have always loved fishing the lake and hate to see the grass gone.

I don't really think the high water is the reason there is no "grass" in the lake. We went there last year when the lake was a lot lower. There wasn't a blade of anything growing. No real reason to go back until something changes.

I passed a lot of boats coming from Coleto yesterday they must be tight lipped I haven't seen any reports from there. I had to go pick up my kids in Goliad otherwise I would have pulled the boat
Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst
