Fished Ivie Friday and Saturday afternoon. Water is clearing up and fish are biting. Caught limits both days trolling three way rigs along flats. Fish were on the move but when you found them they were thick.

What exactly is a three way rig?

Tie a three way swivel to your main line, put a deep diving crank bait on a 2 foot leader to one eye and tie a spoon or jig to a three foot leader to your third eye on your swivel.

Never heard or thought of that. May have to give it a try.

It works better with a quality crankbait that swims true. Basically a poor mans downrigger.
If the fish are shallow use a shallow diver like a bomber model A or a rattle trap.

If the fish are deeper, use a DD22 or the like.

We caught these trolling a lure similar to a Fat Free Shad trailed by a #13 Pet Spoon.

We troll with two rods rigged up this way. When the fish are thick you can catch them 4 at a time.
