Looking to make a few friends to fish and share intel with. I mainly fish Grapevine and Lewisville but I'm open to pretty much any water body near DFW. I used to have a network of friends to duck hunt with and share info that worked well, so I'm hoping I could find the same for kayaking. I paddle a Heritage 14 and do my best to stay safe and legal.

Sandbass, crappie, and catfish for the most part, still trying to figure out the hybrids. I'll fish for bass on some small lakes but usually won't target them on big lakes.

i fish Lewisville as often as i can. I normally fish for bass but will not give up the opportunity to catch sandies or hybrids. heck I would love to try to catch cats. I have never had my kayak on GV but used to fish it frequently from a bass boat.

PM me and lets go sometime. I was going to go today but the water looks like chocolate milk where I put in.

I mainly fish lewisville bc I live across the street from the little elm boat ramp, but my cousin and I have been talking about checking out GV. New to the kayak part of fishing as of this summer and would deff like to find some people to get out on the water with.

I fish Grapevine, mainly for largemouth, white bass and (don't tell anyone) - smallmouth!

I have not fished much lately. Whe it quits raining and the lakes settle down I am gonna track down the hybrids at Cooper. You are more than welcome to join me.

I fish Lake Grapevine for Sandbass, Largemouth Bass, Spotted Bass and (don't tell anyone) the elusive legendary Smallmouth Bass. I am going back this evening and will be putting in somewhere in Murrell Park - don't know where yet.

I just moved to Flower Mound and plan on fishing Grapevine and Lewisville when we get settled in the new house(and all the honey-do's are done). I have a bass boat and a kayak and I'm always down to fish!

Welcome to Flower Mound! Murrell Park will be your best launch point. They have a deep water boat ramp for when the Lake is flooded - like now. They also have several good launch points for kayak fishing. Don't wait until all the honey-do's are done as the list never ends.

Welcome to Flower Mound!

1) twin coves Park is closed - but is well worth the money to get an annual pass when they reopen
2) agree with PowerLizard on Murrell park
3) Most Lewisville Lake access near Flower Mound is going to cost you $10+... if you go north a bit you will start to see some that are either cheaper or free

Lake Lewisville: Shady Shores boat ramp is closed due to high water, but you can easily launch a kayak and park at the gate or the parking area just outside of the ramp.

Good deal thanks guys! Murrell park is about 5 minutes from the house so that will probably be where I launch most of the time. I look forward to meeting y'all out there

LBKflycaster, if I'm reading your username correctly, you're originally from Lubbock?? From there originally myself, been in the metroplex for going on 5 years now. I fish Lewisville regularly but I'm up in Little Elm. I get out to Grapevine occasionally as well. We've got a Facebook Group, DFW Kayak Fishing, that we regularly post meetups and fishing buddy requests... Look us up and hit me up some time to go out...
