If you have ever fished a sinko, and have confidence I spent 4 years in college at Texas Tech and went to Alan Henry just about 2-3 days a week.

It fished unlike any other lake I have ever seen. I finally found a pattern that worked pretty much every time. I would get up in grape creek, and around the boat ramp coves throwing a weightless sinko, watermelon candy, and toss it over the submerged trees you can see in about 5-12 foot of water let it sink in the thick of them, pick it up once or twice then on to the next one.

That super clear water you need something natural. At the time I had never really even heard of drop shot fishing, I think that would be a great way to get them. Toss it to the edge of all those underwater salt cedars or whatever tress those are and you'll get bit. Fish are loaded in those trees but I couldn't get them to bite a jig, texas rigged or anything.

You will catch a bunch of 12-14" fish, but every now and then you'll good a toad.
