Hey friends.. I am looking for a Great spot around the North Dallas Area. Preferably around the Addison, Carrollton, or the Farmers Branch area. I want to take my Son who is 10 and get him interested in something other than Video Games .... I know he if gets a few good size one's, he will be HOOKED!!!! Any help is appreciated.

Wish more fathers were like you Sir! cheers Get your son enjoying the outdoors and fishing and you will not got wrong. coolio I do not fish in the Dallas area but a lot of anglers who do post in this section. Hopefully a few will reply. I may suggest to start out at community ponds. You can also search Google for area lakes and rivers in your area. Check out their fishing reports. Also State Parks with water accesses are great places to fish with lots of sunfish. Hope you find some spots. fish

If you haven't already, check out the Bank Fishing forum here on TFF. I don't have an answer for your question, but there are a ton of us bank anglers up here in DFW. Good luck!

You could always make the drive to the LBJ Grasslands in Decatur. There is a bunch of small lakes and ponds with a few fish able creeks.

Good for you getting your son off the gizmos and learning to love the outdoors. We don't fish your area, but have done well at Lavon and Ray Hubbard. If you are willing to drive to east Texas we would love to introduce him to superb fishing.
