Never been and was thinking about trying something different tomorrow. Anyone know if the ramp is open and if it's worth fishing right now?

It's always worth fishing.
Haha.
Can catch 50 a day there if you know what to use.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

I fished there once, didn't even get a bite. It is a small lake with plenty of grass. Good luck, let us know how you do.
Hey--we finally caught one! dwjimages.smugmug.com

Use a green pumpkin senko. Weightless along the grass edges. Also use a crank bait in the less grassy areas and along the outside edges. Shad pattern.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

Thanks for the tips Steez. Heading out there this evening. Went to Benbrook this morning and only managed a couple.

I agree with the senko, plenty of small fish to be caught especially by the aircraft hangar or whatever that building is.

Fished from 6-9. Caught 5 keepers, a dink, and a sand bass. Missed a few more. Nice little lake for sure.

I fished there this morning. There is so much grass in that Lake, it's insane. Hardly got any bites until 30 mins before we left. Caught 4 large mouth and 1 rock bass.
Didn't like that Lake very much, so we went to Bardwell tonight and had much better luck there.
I'll go back to Clark sometime and have my senko ready... But they need to do something about all of that grass. You can thank get into any of the coves. Even a couple kayakers I talked to at the ramp thought it was out of control.
