Been getting a lot of calls about eagle mountain. It is very muddy and is going to be that way
for a while. The Trinity at Boyd looks like the Missisippi River.

Dirty water everywhere! I couldn't find fish anywhere yesterday!

Any advice?

Wife has been on my back to get the bay boat out all year. She had paid for a spot at West Bay marina two months ago, I decided to launch it Wednesday evening, we drove down to the dam and it's starting to clear up. We even saw some fish schooling at the mouth of Big Carter. Didn't take a rod as we were just running the boat, but it is clearing up down there, I could see 12" to 18" below the surface.

Yesterday it was clear at the dam but today it is muddy. Not going to clear up much as long as the
trinity at Boyd is a quarter mile wide. David it was not clearing up the mud had not got there but it is today {Friday}.

Took three guys out last night and it was every other cast on windblown points. We were using White Hot Thump Buddies on 1/16 ounce unpainted jig heads. Find a light on a windblown point, cast across the light, let the jig hit the bottom, and reel in very slowly. We called it quits when we got tired of catching fish. I haven't fished Eagle Mountain in years, but it sure is nice to be back!
