Heading to Gilmer in the morning, wondering if anyone had a recent report on the bite. Haven't been since February so it's gonna be pot luck I think. Everyone have a great weekend.

I fished four hours the other day and my son was using live bait and we wore out the live bait, zero bites. Lots of reports of catching a bass or two. Been tough out there.

It has been tough since the grass has died. Fished it Sunday for 7 hours only had 4 bites all day. Caught 3 of them. No pattern to them at all. I've been fishing it since its been open. This is the worst its been since it's opened.

The guy who runs lakes in this area for TP&WD never met a sprig of hydrilla he didn't want to eradicate. Not thin out, not manage, not control...but completely wipe out. Just sayin'.
