The Ray Hubbard Bass Cub will be having our fifth tournament of the year Saturday June 11th on Lake Lavon. Here is the information -

• When: Saturday June 11th
• Where: Lake Lavon - Lavonia Park South Ramp - (B6 on the TPWD site. Closest ramp to the dam)
• Time: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Registration: 5:00 AM - 5:45 AM
• Entry Fee: $60.00 per boat – 2 person maximum

You MUST be an RHBC member to fish this tournament. We do not accept membership at the launch ramp, so if you want to fish this one, you will have needed to join the Club at our meeting this Thursday night at BPS Garland. Here is a link to the meeting information.

Meeting Link

Registration will be at the ramp starting at 5:00 on Saturday morning. When you register you will be given a numbered chip. You will need to to turn your chip in by placing it on the board get your fish weighed. You can then launch or trailer and go to your spot. No lines in the water until 6:00. Last cast is 2:30.

There will be a 30 minute dead water period where no fishing is allowed at the end of the day. This is to give members time to get off the water, and the TD's time to get the weigh in set up. The chip must be back on the board with the Tournament Director by 3:00 and weigh in will start then. You will be called to the scales by boat number. Leave your fish in the live well until your number is called. See you at the ramp!

That was the most amazing day of fishing I've ever had. Patrick and I just couldn't believe it. The crappie fisherman in the cove where we were probably thought we were crazy. There was a lot of yelling and high-fiving going on.

We caught our biggest one first thing in the morning. The next two keepers were within the next hour. Then we had a 5 hour period of nothing but short fish. We went back to where we started and caught 2 more nice ones to make our limit, and then we got to cull a couple 3lbers at the very end.

Good deal guys. Me and Ronnie got 2nd to y'all. Unlike y'all's day we had a limit by 10:30 and couldn't cull up from there

Excellent job guys! It made me happy seeing the joy in yalls faces! Capp and I went into this with a goal of just catching a limit, because prefishing was terrible. We happened to find some fish along one bank, and we worked the dog snot out of it many many times. We caught 5 keepers, and many shorts. We executed perfectly today and did not lose any fish that were pinned. I was very happy with our outcome, and couldn't have placed 2nd to a nicer team of guys! congrats again!

Congratulations to all the winners.
At 12:30 I only had one and my guest and I were already losing our patience so we had left. Consequently, I forgot to put the chip back on the board (#15), I will bring it to the next meeting.

Dan

Congrats to Patrick and Cameron! Great sack of fish.
Ronnie and Capp Doug and Doc made a run at y'all.
Mark and I did not fish clean. We lost 2 over five lbs but that's fishing!!!!
It was definitely tougher than practice. Based on practice I just knew it would take 20plus to be at the top. We had five spots we rotated through and luckily hit the right size fish on the head.
Great fun as always fishing with you guys!

Congrats Patrick and Cameron, nice job!

Doc and I couldn't catch but 1-2 keepers during a couple of days of practice after the lake came up 4 feet a week and half ago.
We just went fishing and only had 6 keeper bites all day. It was a tough day for us, thankful we caught almost 17 pounds, I knew just catching a limit would be tough.

Congrats to all that caught fish, I think it only took 12 something to win another club tournament at Lavon the week before ours.
