I've been putting my time in on Joe Pool and it's been paying off. Fished for a few hours Tuesday afternoon and ended up catching 17. Most were 11-12" and only a few short fish. I only fished new spots and I'm starting to get more confident locating crappie on the sonar. I took a couple screenshots but I put the cursor right on top of the fish when I marked them so you can't see the fish in the pics hammer. I may not catch all the crappie in this pontoon boat, but it sure is comfortable!

Here's a couple pics. You can see the bait of choice. Caught all but a couple on jigum's and Jerry's jigs.

Joe pool has really turned the corner from when I used to fish it regularly. Went last week and found some very good fish for JP in short order.

I've been pretty pleased with the quality of fish we've been catching. We were consistently catching 13"-15+" fish from the creeks during the spawn. The post spawn fish have been smaller, but there haven't been a shortage of keepers.

It's been very windy today. Located lots of fish but it's been hard to get on them and stay on them due to the wind. We caught five or six keepers quickly then just started looking for new spots. Im hoping this wind dies down and we will try again this afternoon.

We only fished from 7:45 to 8:35 yesterday evening but we had a blast! First location I checked was loaded with crappie! Caught 33 fish in 50 minutes. All but three were keepers with most fish being 11"-12". That was the best hour of fishing I've had in a while! Standing timber in 18 feet of water, fish suspended at 6'-12'.
