Is there a size threshold for Reds when the meat is no longer edible or less tasty?
I know as black drum get in the 30+" range the meat starts to get coarse and lose its natural taste.

Is there a size threshold for Reds when the meat is no longer edible or less tasty?
I know as black drum get in the 30+" range the meat starts to get coarse and lose its natural taste. i don't like eating reds bigger than about 25"

Depends on where it's caught for me, 25 or 26" in generally the max for me, but will eat up to the slot in areas of clean and heavily grassed areas like Estes Flats.
I say we fish 5 days a week and work 2.
