Hit Palestine yesterday, and it was the calmest I've ever seen that lake. At one point we caught 3-4 fish off one BP and never had to hit the trolling motor.
Morning bite was super slow. Marked tons of fish, but they weren't havin it. After lunch someone hit the "crappie switch", and it was ON! Even returned to a couple of the same piles from the morning and they were suddenly biting at 2-3pm.
Two man limit off mostly BPs in 12-18'
Purple/Chart hand ties (Jerry's Jigs) produced the best. (1/8 and 1/16oz)
Docks were tight due to the water level, so we didn't try many.
Hit bridge for about an hour mid day and only caught 3-4 keepers. Didn't mark many fish on the bridge at all.
Most fish were small "eaters" 11-12" with two big ones over 2lbs, and maybe 6-7 that were 1-1.5lbs.
Fun day with a friend that's not a crappie guy, but may be now.

Awesome catch & report! Have been on Palestine 3 days this week at first light till it got hot. Caught some , but mostly relearning how to read the Lowrances. Called lowrance for help to clear unreadable screens. Next day all much better. Spent time finding BP's that were marked last year.
