Not sure if this is the correct place for this if not please direct me to where it should be.

Lost a $400 Zillon and and older fenwick rod last Friday. Went back Saturday with no luck. Taking a fireman as a diver tomorrow.

What should be done to the reel when we find it? I would like to send it to someone who can take it apart and clean it perhaps even change the bearings.

Anyone offer a good place to send it?

Thanks for the help.

Send it to me. Clearly you can't be trusted with nice toys...

I hope that you find it. If you do, there are several good places to send reels on the trade board. I do rebuild/cleaning myself, but there are several good guys to send the reel to should you find it.

Not all those who wander are lost.

I would be happy to service your reel if you should find it or any other reels you may have that need to be serviced...I charge 15 a reel and a very quick turnaround time. Completely disassemble them and clean them ultrasonically.

They will never be seen again. I have dove for rods before and I have yet to find one where the guy says he lost them.

I was fishing Trinity Bay with Olhipi and his grandson, Bubba. We were fishing plastics and tearing the Trout up. Bubba was using a Shimano Chronarch on an All-Star rod. He laid his rod down in the floor of the boat to net a fish and the plastic was hanging over the side of the boat in the water. A fish came up grabbed the plastic and pulled the whole rig over the side of the boat. Too bad, that was an expensive rig, but it wasn't worth as much as the look on that boy's face. All of us saw it go over and just couldn't get to it.. Stuff happens.

I keep a marker buoy handy for that reason. I let a friend use one of my favorite rigs while night fishing. He tossed it in the lake by accident. I grabbed the marker and tossed it where the rod went in. I got it back in less than 10 tries.

I was fishing with a friend once in a February tournament years ago and he was using a brand new rig. It was COLD. We were taking breaks to warm our hands but he still managed to throw his rod in the lake on a cast......before it disappeared I saw him go over the side behind it hammer He actually came up with it and we went straight to the truck to get him warmed up. I was happy that day of fishing was over early.
