What is your favorite Carolina rig rod? I have the Ike Carolina rig rod and can't cast it far at all. Looking to get into something different.

I have a Dx784 for sale brand new

Retail $360 asking $290 shipped

I have thrown a bunch of rods for a c-rig and this is by far my favorite

I have 3 of them, all for c-rig.

In my opinion you need a rod that is 7.8 - 8 foot

7.5 is not enough

I have this Dobyns rod to and it is a good C-rig rod. I also have the Dobyns 804 C-rig that I like better for deep C-rig fishing it will cast a country mile.

I've use a wright McGill Reese rod that's a deep crankin model. I've not had any issues and love the tip on it.

don't do this... Two totally differnt ends of the Rod spectrum. Find a nice 7' or longer heavy fast action Rod that feel comfortable to you.
