Hi all!
Just curious where are some good spots to fish close to the Clear Lake/Galveston area?
I've read Texas City Dike and Rollover Pass are good.. Where are some other places?
Thanks

Bad news? Nobody is going to spill their guts on a public forum, Fish HERE X marks the spot. Good news? You can buy a hooksetter wade/kayak map at academy that shows every productive area.

Right now you might look at hitting the surf or the jetties. With all the fresh water pouring in, Galveston is pretty fresh. SLP, Rollover, the jetties, and the beach are going to be the most productive this summer.
If you walk out into the surf (need a calm or light wind day, preferably a little north in it) and don't immediately catch something pretty quick, keep moving around. Some great catches are coming on topwaters.. skitter walks and spook juniors, and when the bite subsides switching to a rat tailed soft plastic or a suspending bait like a Mirrolure mirrodine or 51mr.
Here's a note that came in on our DVD's from a guy that watched them recently "Great information in these dad’s. Also the best customer service!! Highly recommend these fishing instructional guides" - John R.
