Operation Comfort Benefit Tournament

Alright folks just a little under a week left.. Good turnout for our first pre registration date looking forward to se the turnout to the next pre registration dates

Sept 8&9th at tracker boating center of Tyler 1-7pm
Sept 9th at tracker boating center of Longview noon to close

Morning of the tournament 430am-6am

Spent the last few days fun fishing since our team won't be fishing the event but running the weigh in with fishers of men and being media boats for KETK News and a professional photographer for photos that will be sent straight to the top of Bass Pro Shops.

You aren't going to want to miss this event. We have some pretty amazing PRIZES & DOOR PRIZES to hand out to our Anglers who don't finish in the payout places.

This is a Trailering Event ( Launch Wherever )
First Cast on your SPOT - 630am
Last Cast - 2pm
Checked in and in line by 3pm at Tracker Boating Center of Tyler ( A Tracker employee will be at the front of the vehicle and boat line )

This is a bass master classic type weigh in where your truck and boat will be pulled beside the stage to get out with your weigh in bag. We felt our Wounded Soldiers / Veterans would really appreciate the layout.

5 Bass Fish Stringer - 14inch minimum

Obey all Texas Boating State Laws and Regulations
Fishers of Men director Danny Smith will be running our weigh in portion of the event and their will be a live well trailer to return all fish back to Lake Palestine. Fishers of Men is a faith based trail and we expect all Anglers to have sportsmanship and courtesy to all who are on the lake. In the event of a discrepancy Danny Smith has the authority to disqualify any Angler. Anglers are in charge of keeping their bass alive while they are in their possession all dead bass will be assessed a penalty of .50 a lb ( use your live well and additives and fish should be fine , bass master classics travels over an hour and a half sometimes )

Registration must be in cash to pay the payout places after weigh in has concluded. All prizes and door prizes will be handed out at the end and you won't want to miss these prizes this year.

If you are assigned a Wounded Soldier / Veteran we ask that you meet them Friday Sept 9th from 5-7pm to go over details of next day. There is a special $100 Bass Pro Gift Card for BIGGEST BASS caught by a Soldier...

If there is a giant turn out we will adjust start time and weigh in check in time once we feel we have reached a number of boats that warrant adjustment. Weather calls for a stray shower - not that serious so we still fishing.. It's not a indoor sport. Have questions ask at registration the layout is planned out for this to go as smoothly as possible.

Remember this is a Benefit Tournament. We reserve the right to refuse any Angler if warranted.

We're only Raffling off 2 major prizes the rest are giveaways door prizes - tournament especially benefit tournaments just don't do this kind of thing..

2016 Operation Comfort Benefit Tournament is a smashing success to say the least....

96 Boats registered to fish our event which was quite amazing and overwhelming but I think it went fairly smooth with having an offsite weigh in. We had some outstanding companies support this years event but was pleased a big majority of them came out to weigh in to show their support for our Wounded Soldiers / Veterans. 29 Wounded Soldiers / Veterans were paired with Volunteer Boaters throughout Texas and were so very grateful for that. Truly shows how Texas supports our Military Men and Women and helped this event become the Single Biggest Bass Tournament on Lake Palestine outside of the High School series. Thank you to our Tracker Guys what an amazing help they were throughout the whole thing.

Our 1st Place $5,000 by Tracker Boating Center Tyler & Sherwin-Williams was won with 20.50lbs to Paul Ferguson & Eric Thompson and thank you to RE/MAX Associates of Dallas for their support as well.

We were able to raise $12,510 for Operation Comfort to keep them successful in all they do for our Wounded Soldiers plus gave a ton of Prizes away. We hope our Anglers really appreciated having the chance to win some prizes outside of the Payout Places.
