I'm only getting about 5400 RPM. If I raise it up should I gain a little? With a heavy load I am not jumping on plane. Will raising the motor make this even worse? 26 pitch Fury 3 blade on 250 pro XS on a champion 206 with 6 inch manual jack plate.

I'm at the lake and can try a few things.

Right now i am having a problem my self. i am running up to around 4850 and getting chin walk so bad i cant run it anymore. I have had it up to 5100 and thought i was going to roll over. 27 pitch worked tempest. Throwing a tail about 2 foot tall and 30 yards long, but the transom comes to far out of the water.

Raised it 1/4 inch and gained 1000 RPM. Going to raise it a little more tomorrow. What water pressure should I expect and at what point should I get worried?

raise it till water pressure drops some, then lower 1/4". that should be your optimum.

A 26 may be a little too much prop for that boat.

25 Fury might be a better option. Holeshot and performance will get worse as the air and water warm up. I run a 25 Fury with extra vent holes on my 250 and not completely thrilled with the holeshot when loaded. I am considering a Bravo 1XS. Good luck

Fury is not my first choice on a 206. Get with Steve and find a tempest he's worked, THAT will deliver your best results.

I agree try a 25 pitch prop. Hole shoot will improve and RPM will increase.

on the 206 and 210 i prefer a 10 or 12 inch setback.

then set the prop shaft height at 3" below and let er rip!!!

the 6" plate isn't giving you the bow lift you need to un wet the hull.
thats why the rpms are low

I raised it up just a bit more and didn't gain anything. Still 5500 RPM. Did lift a little better. I have a 25 Tempest that I can try if I get the hub changed. I had it on a 200 EFI. Water pressure is 17-18 Psi right now.

I'm running a 2008 210 champion with a 25 fury. Propshaft is 2" below pad running 73mph gps at 6k rpm and 25 psi water pressure at wot. This boat hated the tempest plus for some reason. Motor is a 250 pro xs by the way. And 10" slidemaster jackplate.
