How did the high water affect fishing this past weekend? I assume they will be letting water out at least for the next week or so? I know at Fork fishing is usually tough when they are letting water out anybody have the same experience with RR? Just trying to plan a trip this weekend.

fished it sunday, fairly slow. My guess was due to the large influx of water, caught a few on texas rigs 9-12 FOW close to trees. Hopefully this week of no rain helps the lake settle and improves the bite.

I will be using the State Park (Isle du Bois) ramp. With the water this high you will basically have to back your whole truck into the lake to launch, so bring rubber boots or flip flops if you're by yourself.

I'm going Friday, and I will be fishing flooded stuff near the main lake structure they would normally be moving out to this time of year. That's my best guess on what to do.

Stay on the lower end of the lake - the creeks are going to be very muddy.

I fished the cove south of the IdB launch on Sunday. I caught a bunch in the newly flooded timber and brush. The topwater bite was good early but I also caught them on a TX rig worm and a wacky rigged Senko. Flipping the Senko back in the new flood area was the most successful. A few feet beyond that there is another line of brush that used to be the new flood area a few weeks ago so there's plenty of places to fish. Boats were parked on the brushpiles so you need to get there early or take a number.
