Just a question, I'm in the market for some new seats for my boat. For those of you that are out there in the Texas summer heat, does it matter if the seat is a dark color or light color? I saw some nice black seats, but was worried that they may get too hot while fishing in the Texas summer heat. Thanks for your input.

Black seats will get hot, go with a lighter color. I had white sites with a dark blue stripe on my CC. The dark blue part would burn you while the white was cool to the touch.

We call black seats 'Texas Butt Branding Irons'.

So maybe a light gray seat would be okay?

I've got dark blue in my boat. Really don't fight it much. But I keep towels that I'll sit on if need be. And I've in the past got towel wet, wipe seat to cool off.
