Buddy and I are in Florida on vacation. We are pond hopping in San Destin resort. I take him to a spot. I say I'll go right. You go left. 2nd cast I get a boil on a chatterbait. Instead of going left, he now begins throwing right beside me. I start working through baits trying to obtain a bite. I cast down bank and get hung. My buddy then throws immediately into my spot while I attempt to reclaim bait. He catches 3lber. I told him that didn't seem appropriate. This is a friendly disagreement. Thought I would solicit outside opinions.

Y'all are bank fishing for fun. Shrug it off and go about the vacation. I've had guys do that jokingly while fun fishing. Doesn't bother me a bit.

Were you the tournament director? maybe you picked the best looking route. Why didnt you say "Ill Go Left and YOU go right. Your buddy may have caught that fish. Problem solved.

My buddies and I go on a yearly fishing trip. We have done so for about 20 years, always some place different across the country. We have a traveling trophy the winner gets and etches the details of the catch on annually. The competition gets so fierce, we had to create an elaborate set of bylaws to maintain some semblance of peace. We've got a board of directors and any proposed rule change gets voted on and requires a simple majority to get ratified. Each trip still usually results in some chaos at one point or another, but the number of fist fights has gone down dramatically since we created the rules. Some friends huh!? Wouldn't trade e'm.
