First time trying to fish for catfish. Tried a creek mouth opening into local lake. Water about 5' deep fishing on bottom using threadfin shad I got with cast net. Don't know if I loaded this picture correctly. All Blues and a couple Channel. Circle and Kahle hooks.

Looks like you got it figured out. Cats are spawning and feeding real shallow now especially up in the creeks. Live 4" perch right now might land you a nice flathead in the creek channel.
