It's about 4ft up. I just went down the bank fishing the flooded stuff. Caught a bunch of fish on tx rig.

I caught all of my fish this past weekend up shallow on tx rig. Seems to have them biting better in my opinion.

Mikeyb_23, I like the Loyd park ramp. The Lynn Creek ramp has pot holes and the parking lot sucks. I have never launched at the Cedar Hill ramp, so I can't speak for it.

In Cedar Hill State Park, the good ramp is closed, you have to wind your way to the south ramp, which is small and tight and crowded. And if the wind is from the north, it gets tougher. But it's all right. It's closer for me and I buy a park pass. Oh, the only really bad thing is the park opens at 6 a.m., a little late for summer.

Here is a good place to check water levels at Joe Pool.

Pretty much anywhere on the lake. They stocked it a year ago and then shut it down with the floods. Fishing has been good ever since for numbers. I was out last week during the rain. I started seeing fish schooling in about 6 feet of water. Ignored them because I didn't want any sandbass. Finally gave in and tossed a topwater and BOOM. They were Large mouth. For about an hour every point that I pulled up on, they would start schooling as soon as I pulled up. It was a blast.

Fishing is great on joe pool right now. Pitch jigs or texas rigs in the green flooded stuff. Or throw a frog up in the flooded stuff and hold on.

Tx rig any lay down on points. Was using Baby Brush Hog Watermelon Red, dipped tail. I agree with everyone this lake is on fire for numbers of all sizes and the bite was consistent all day.
