I finally got my boat back from the shop with a brand new reman powerhead so sunday i went to break it in on Hubbard because the wind was out of the north so i could tuck in behind I 30 in some calmer water. I got 3 1/2 hours on it and decided to do a cool down heat cycle ( that is what was recommended ) so what better way to let the heat cycle happen for an hour than catch some fish roflmao Caught 21 big ones in an hour. My i pilot still works like a charm in the big wind and waves. After that i continued to break in motor but that was cut short because every wake boat, Ski boat, Jet flea and tubing boat was over where i was trying to break in and it was like a washing machine. So after another 45 mins i called it. Told Sea Pro Todd about the spot and he went later that day and killed the big sand bass.

Call John Varner at www.jvguideservice.com and he will put you on the fish.

Also visit www.moestackleshop.com Moes Tackle shop because i was catching with the famous Peekwee chieftain 1 1/2 ounce. . 21 fish in an hour is a good trip in my book. smile

The motor ran great a big thanks to Rockwall Marine for doing a great job on the rebuild.

Great post and good looking pics, Keith! Thanks for the info. I marked a few and caught a few there then decided to try the Texoma stir trick with the rods. Man, they showed up in number and bigs. Fish finally grouped up and stayed! Only caught 3 under hybrids. Wonder where they go???

Had a late start yesterday and had to deal with the heavy boat traffic and choppy waves too lol. Glad your boat is running again after some serious $$$$.

Keith, if you hold the fish further away from you and closer to the camera they would look bigger. bouncy

Great talking/texting with you on Sunday Keith. Like that old song, "It's been a long time coming...." Lord knows you've been a patient man. We ran out tonight and put the hurting on them not too far from where you and Todd fished. They were moving some but these were some hogs! Doubled up many times. All released for another day of catching. Looking forward to our group fishing LTSA together Saturday. Bring that beef jerky and I know you will! See you Saturday. Good times.

That's fantastic guys! I was out last night on RH in my pontoon from about 5:30-9:00 and couldn't buy a bite... I was fishing my normal spots (maybe that's the problem!!) and were showing good on my SI/DI unit, but haven't been able to pattern them this year yet. I guess I need to bite the bullet of humility and call JV to set up a trip with him. Good looking fish fellas.
